DUCT i air purifiers work with both UV light and ozone. The system is installed directly in the ventilation duct by making a hole, attaching an adapter and inserting a plug-in module with a UV tube into the ventilation duct's air stream. DUCT is a good choice when a pre-built exhaust air system needs to be supplemented with effective air purification. DUCT is also suitable when, due to lack of space or other physical limitations, the air purifier must be placed somewhere along the route of the exhaust air duct.
DUCT can be used with advantage in the exhaust air in both general ventilation and in restaurant and process ventilation.
The most common use for DUCT is for the need to reduce odours in the exhaust air. DUCT reduces odours by 74-95 %. DUCT provides the best conditions for effective reduction of organic odours. Organic odours are very complex in their chemical composition as thousands of substances with different chemical bases occur in different mixtures and concentrations. Moreover, this composition often changes several times every day. The combination of treatment with UV light, ozone and specific radicals allows DUCT to solve most situations where neighbours or nearby residents complain about disturbing odours from a process.
In addition, UVtech DUCT is often used in catering environments to prevent the build-up of grease deposits in the ventilation system. The UV light breaks down the grease molecules into harmless and non-sticky polymerised carbon compounds, which means that the ventilation ducts are always kept free of grease. A reduction in the cost of sweeping and cleaning by between 70-75 % is typically seen as a result of installing DUCT. In addition, the grease-free exhaust air means that DUCT unlocks and provides the opportunity to design/install heat exchangers on the restaurant exhaust air. A change that saves hundreds of thousands of kilowatt hours every year in heating needs.
The DUCT should be installed to complement a well-functioning restaurant ventilation hood with efficient mechanical grease filters of cyclone or labyrinth model.
