The INDU air purification system consists of several complete modules for large air flows. The modules can be placed at a suitable location in a ventilation system. Inside there are a number of UV cassettes adapted to the air flow. There are modules with 1, 2 or 3 levels with space for up to 4 cassettes per level. All modules have a voltage of 230V.

The control system that, among other things, alerts when it is time for service is pre-mounted on the module but can be moved if appropriate.

More about the INDU air purification system

Complete air purifier with UV light and ozone

INDU is a complete air cleaner specially designed for ventilation systems with high exhaust air flows or for projects where air cleaning must be located some distance from the source of the pollutants. INDU provides great flexibility by being able to increase or decrease the purification capacity as the load of pollutants in the plant changes. INDU can be used in process ventilation as well as in restaurant ventilation or general ventilation.

The most common use for INDU is to reduce the odour load in the exhaust air. With INDU, odours can be reduced by 74-95 %. UVtech INDU provides the best conditions for effective reduction of organic odours. Organic odours are incredibly complex in their chemical composition as thousands of substances with different chemical bases and odour characteristics occur in different mixtures and concentrations. Moreover, this composition often changes several times every day. The combination of treatment with UV light, ozone and specific radicals means that INDU can be used to resolve most situations where neighbours or nearby residents are affected by disturbing odours from a process. UVtech INDU is often used in restaurant environments and in the food industry to prevent the build-up of grease deposits in the ventilation system.

The INDU should be installed as a complement to a well-functioning restaurant or industrial ventilation hood with efficient mechanical grease filters. The UV cleaner then breaks down the remaining grease into polymerised carbon compounds. Thanks to this, the ventilation ducts can be kept free of grease. A reduction in the costs of sweeping and cleaning by between 70-75 % is normally the result of installing INDU. In addition, the grease-free exhaust air means that INDU provides the opportunity to install heat exchangers on the exhaust air, a change that can often save hundreds of thousands of kilowatt hours each year in property heating.

The INDU should be installed to complement a well-functioning restaurant/industrial ventilation hood with efficient mechanical grease filters of cyclone or labyrinth type.

Easy to maintain

Unlike other air purifiers, the INDU is very easy to service. The UV tubes are in cassettes that quickly slide in and out of their slots in the INDU box. The UV tubes are easier to change than the fluorescent tubes in a standard light fitting. Replacing the UV tubes can be done in less than ten minutes, compared to several hours for other air purification technologies. Saving both time in the kitchen and costs. UV tubes should be replaced after 12 000 hours of operation or after two years, whichever comes first.

The ongoing wiping of the UV tubes is also greatly facilitated by the fact that the cassettes in the INDU are very easy to remove via the service door. As part of the plant's operation and maintenance routines, the UV tubes should be wiped at regular intervals. It only takes a couple of minutes to pull out the cassettes, wipe the UV tubes with damp micro cloth and then push the cassettes back into position.

Intelligent control system

INDU has an integrated control system that notifies the user when it is time to clean the UV tubes and when it is time to change the UV tubes and monitors the system's functions. The control system also alerts the user if any disturbances are detected. These alarms can be passed on to the overall control centre or similar system.

The control system also contains dual, mandatory safety systems for ozone safety. These systems must be switched on for the INDU to start at all. The safety system also acts as protection against UV light being made visible.

Product range

INDU is available in several standardised sizes for airflows between 1440 - 25920 m³/h. The choice makes it easy to adapt the purification system to the need that exists.
